BERNICE L. NIELSEN
Mrs. Bernice Lillian Nielsen, 70, McCammon, died at Parkview Hospital Thursday after a short Illness.
She was born Nov. 10, 1907, at Allen, Kan., to Frank and Bertha Britsch Schureman. She spent her early life in Kansas.
On Nov, 10, 1924, she married Arthur E. Nielsen at Idaho Falls. They made their home at Shelley until coming to Pocatello in 1933. In 1946 they purchased a ranch on Upper Rock Creek Road near McCammon and had lived there since. Mr. Nielsen died here Dec. 26, 1975.
Survivors include three sons. Richard (Dick) Nielsen, Portland, Ore., Edward Arthur, Pocatello, and Ralph Blaine, Nampa: a daughter, Mrs. Orland (Pat) Iverson, Pocatello, six grandchil dren; three great-grandchildren: a sister, Pearl Schureman, Pasa- dena, Calif., and two brothers, Dale Schureman, Arco, and Claire (Bus) Schureman, San Lorenzo, Calif. A brother. Glen, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Downard Chapel with the Rev. J. Russell Houston of Central Christian Church officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Downard Chapel Monday from 7-8 p.m. Burial will be in the family plot at Mountainview Cemetery under the direction of Downard Funeral Home. |
